Seamus is the Managing Director of Griffdon Engineering, overseeing the dayto-day operations and holding overall responsibility for the company’s strategic direction. Since joining the family business in 2004, Seamus has played a key role in delivering many high-profile projects and has been instrumental in Griffdon’s expansion across Europe. With over 20 years of experience in the construction and engineering sectors, Seamus has led the company through a decade of significant growth and transformation. His passion lies in buildingon Griffdon’s success, continually enhancing the value delivered to clients across the multiple jurisdictions in which the company operates.

Elayne Griffin

EHS Director

Elayne is our Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Director, responsible for overseeing all HSEQ operations across the company. A key member of the leadership team and the daughter of Griffdon founders Martin and Mary, Elayne has been actively involved in the business since 2004. Elayne plays a vital role in ensuring that Griffdon maintains the highest standards of health, safety, and quality across all projects throughout Europe. She is deeply engaged on the ground, traveling extensively to provide leadership, guidance, and assurance to project teams. Elayne also leads the implementation and rigorous auditing of the company’s HSEQ systems and processes, reinforcing Griffdon’s culture of excellence and compliance.

Grace Ward

Financial Controller

Grace is the Financial Controller for Griffdon Engineering, overseeing the company’s financial management and ensuring robust processes, controls, and risk management procedures are in place. In addition to her financial responsibilities, Grace also oversees key support services, including human resources and administration. A qualified Chartered Accountant, she brings over 15 years of experience in financial management, risk oversight, and financial reporting. Her strategic insight and disciplined approach play a critical role in maintaining Griffdon’s financial strength and operational efficiency.

Daragh Griffin

Commercial Manager

Daragh is the Commercial Manager, responsible for leading the company’s dayto-day commercial operations. With a proven track record in managing all commercial aspects of construction projects—from initial cost estimation through to final contract negotiations— Daragh plays a key role in ensuring project success and profitability. His responsibilities include overseeing project budgets, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers, and aligning all commercial activities with Griffdon’s strategic and financial objectives. Daragh is committed to driving the continued growth and success of the company through sound commercial leadership and strong industry partnerships.

Alan Kirwan

General Manager

Alan is the General Manager, overseeing a wide spectrum of our company’s operational activities, ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of internal processes, he plays a pivotal role in aligning execution with strategic goals, maintaining high standards across safety, quality, and performance. With over a decade of hands-on experience, Alan brings deep expertise in project management, safety protocols, strategic planning, stakeholder communication, and problem resolution. His extensive background spans a range of industries and project types, equipping him with the versatility and insight needed to adapt and deliver in fast-paced and high-stakes environments.

Michael Rice

Procurement Manager

Michael is our Procurement Manager, bringing extensive expertise in sourcing and supply chain management within the construction industry. He leads procurement operations across all our facilities in Ireland and Europe, ensuring that every project is supported with the right materials—delivered on time and to specification. Michael plays a vital role in aligning procurement strategy with our Project teams and Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) delivery goals. His focus on strategic sourcing, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness helps drive reliability and performance across the entire supply chain.

European Operations

Alex is our European Operations Manager overseeing daily business activities across multiple European jurisdictions. He plays a vital role in the successful delivery of projects from inception to final handover. His expertise lies in building and leading effective teams that focus on achieving project objectives. Alex prioritizes clear communication and collaboration to ensure that all stakeholder expectations are met, consistently delivering projects to the highest standards. His leadership and commitment to excellence are key to our continued success in the region.

Mervyn Savage

Nordic Operations

Mervyn is our Nordic Operations Manager, tasked with driving operational excellence across Sweden, Norway, and Finland. He oversees the full lifecycle of projects—from initial concept to final completion—ensuring that each project aligns with strategic goals and meets stakeholder expectations. Known for his exceptional ability to build highperforming teams, Mervyn fosters crossborder collaboration and maintains the highest standards of delivery. His leadership and vision are crucial to our ongoing success in the Nordics, empowering teams to achieve remarkable results and continuously improve operational processes.

Gary Conway

Off-site Manufacturing

Gary is our dedicated Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) Facility Manager, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience in off-site construction practices. Gary oversees our multiple off-site facilities across both Ireland and Europe. Together, they ensure that all projects are fully supported by our OSM facilities, facilitating successful delivery for our clients. In his role, Gary manages OSM operations and logistics throughout Europe, ensuring efficient processes and timely execution. Additionally, he contributes to the management of our Tool and Plant division, ensuring that all necessary resources are available for optimal project performance. Their collective leadership and operational oversight are vital to our mission of delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.
