About Us

Griffdon Engineering Ltd is a leading electrical engineering company based in Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon. Established in 2001 by Martin and Mary Griffin as a cable-pulling business, the company has since grown into a trusted provider of comprehensive electrical engineering services. In 2004, their son Seamus joined to support management and contract procurement, followed by Elayne in 2019, who strengthened the company’s health and safety capabilities. In 2022, Martin and Mary proudly passed the business to Seamus and Elayne, ensuring continued family leadership and a clear vision for the future.

Over the past decade, Griffdon Engineering has expanded rapidly, securing major projects across Ireland and Europe in the fast-paced sector of critical infrastructure, working alongside some of the world’s leading technology companies. Today, the company employs more than 150 staff in Ireland, with an additional 400 personnel across Europe, including the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Belgium.
